Friday 28th August - Received our first phone call from our construction supervisor to tell us the frame had been completed and surely enough we received the frame invoice within hours. It's the most efficient accounts department ever!
Our weekend visit to the site saw the upstairs frame finished and part of the roof trusses go up also. Scaffolding also up in preparation for roof work next week. All ground floor windows have been installed BUT as I suspected they got our window order WRONG! We had made a special order for the kitchen and family windows to be in a different style which was noted in the contract but not on the original construction drawings which we later asked to have updated instead what they installed are just the standard windows. I'm sure this is easily fixed but who knows what else they are going to get wrong if they are working off different drawings? Emailed our Building Coordinator who will get in touch with the site supervisor to have it corrected.
