MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME
Wednesday, September 30, 2015Quick update from me as I have some great news to share after speaking to our site supervisor, it looks like our build is 2 months ahead of schedule. OMG. This has got to be one of the fastest builds I've come across. If I heard correctly we are about 5 weeks away from the 'fixing' stage with upstairs hebel to finish this week and plaster to go up next week followed by all the cabinentry and stairs. Whilst that's been done ss is organising for the eaves and rendering to top level to be finished before we pull down the scaffolding.
Our ss even said he is aiming to have it finished this year...Fingers crossed ...This will be the best Christmas present yet.

ReplyDeleteHi chi, went to the house today and they manage to catch up!They wrapped the house and installed all the doors and shower base too!I was actually surprised that they did it pretty quick!Next is plaster and bricks!
ReplyDeletehi karen, thats great news. keep in mind bricks can take up to 4 weeks to complete. our houses are really starting to take shape now. :)
Deleteyes and plastering can take up to 3 to 4 wks for a double storey. So our SS is right will be at lock up stage by Novermber.I saw that some of the materials for our stairs has been delivered too!But they still havent installed the sliding doors for the alfresco. We will meet our SS at the site on monday i will check on him if he can give us estimated finish date for the house.hehe!Coz yours is really going quick.Keep me updated chi!So excited for you if you can spend the Christmas at your new house :-)
DeleteHi Chi, Is Hebel expensive compared to using bricks for the front?
ReplyDeleteHi samitha, hebel is more expensive. Do note that you cannt chose to just hebel the front...it's all brick or all hebel. Hope that helps.
